Your favourite Baldock student website came close to yet another great achievement, writes J Farrow
After just six months of being relaunched, KTS NewsKnight has come close to being shortlisted for the Shine Media Awards. The awards is a national, free-to-enter competition celebrating the very best of student media in Great Britain. The competition culminates in a spectacular gala awards ceremony held in the City of London each summer; win or lose, NK has thoroughly enjoyed the bash and the host of brilliant activities hosted by media luminaries.

Shine Chair, Alison Strachan, said, "It was a strong field and NKS NewsKnight were very close to being included on the shortlist." This represents a major achievement after NK’s relaunch was just six short months ago.
“I am so proud of our team,” said NewsKnight staff coordinator Mr McDermott. “Being close to making the short-list was far beyond my expectations. Shine has provided some really great feedback on how to improve. Our new design and content is vastly improved. We’re going from strength to strength.
